I've missed "Elizabeth Bakes"! I love love love these brownies. I agree with you about the coffee granules. I'll take my chocolate flavor pure and unadulterated by anything but walnuts, thank you.

This looks very yummy. I'm just waiting for corned beef to go on sale at the grocery store. It should be happening soon!

I made these a couple mhotns ago, when we were only avoiding eggs. The first time I made them, I used whole (cow's) milk. They turned out great. Then I made them again, using rice milk, and they totally fell apart in the waffle iron! Have you ever experienced this? We're now avoiding eggs AND dairy, so I need to figure this out.I think I'm going to try it using coconut milk tomorrow. I don't like soy milk, so that's not a good option.(I've used other recipes on this site with great success, thank you for having this blog!)

I am grateful to find your recipe for butternut crunch. I was given a can of Almond Roca for Christmas which is great but knew there must be a good recipe out there for this. I am going to have a go. It is my favorite candy in the world and living in the UK these days has made it hard to find until recently. Like you, I will probably wind up making this every Christmas from now on! Many thanks.

Can't wait to try this. Do you think it would work well as muffins?

This could be a fun Halloween tradition. My sister always used to cook their family's jack-o-lantern on November 1, but that seems a bit heartless. (And there would be no way to stuff it like this because of the cut-outs.) I like this a LOT better!

I love the idea of the persimmon-cranberry-walnut combo. This looks delish.

This looks absolutely scrumptious. How was it received by the ladies at church? Also, that is a terrific idea to weigh ingredients. I get tired of all those dirty measuring cups.
